How Conway Gives was formed...

Conway Gives was established in the Fall of 2018. The Conway Ministry Center along with City of Hope Outreach (COHO), Bethlehem House, The Salvation Army, and Community Action Program of Central Arkansas (CAPCA), all of whom work together everyday to meet the needs of the community, were searching for ways to collaborate at a higher level.

Out of multiple round table discussions the idea for Conway Gives came to fruition and what started as a way to raise funds for individual agencies has turned into a way to rally our community together around specific needs related to homelessness and homelessness prevention.

In August of 2020, Conway Gives joined forces with the Toad Suck Coalition to better serve our area. We continue to work hand in hand with the Arkansas Community Foundation of Faulkner County and the United Way of Central Arkansas to increase those collaborative efforts in the mission to prevent homelessness.

Working side by side, we foster community wide change and host fundraising campaigns during crisis situations related to homeless prevention in our community.  Understanding the barriers that the unsheltered face allows us as a community to pursue quality of life for all of our neighbors.

The Giving Tuesday Campaign...

On Giving Tuesday each year the participating non-profit agencies host an online giving campaign (#ConwayGives) as well as a street outreach campaign. Look for them and hundreds of volunteers along the streets of downtown Conway holding #ConwayGives signs and donation buckets to raise money specifically for non-profits that provide homeless services in Faulkner County. *Giving Tuesday is the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The COVID-19 Housing Assistance Campaign

In the Spring of 2020 the COVID-19 Pandemic swept the globe.  Families that were already struggling to keep a roof over their head were facing homelessness for the first time. When we realized that it could be months before aid reached our community, our local coalition came together to create the COVID-19 Housing Assistance Fund. From April to August 2020,  we raised over $106,000 and helped more than 250 families stay in their homes. This would not have been possible without the generosity of the local community and the Giving Tuesday organization. Click Here for more details.
